Woods Rolls in Par on First Hole, Begins Quest for Record Cut Streak
Woods Seeks 24th Straight Made Cut at Masters
Augusta, Ga. - Tiger Woods rolled his birdie putt just left of the cup, settling for a two-putt par to begin his quest for a record 24th straight made cut at the Masters.
Woods, who has not missed a cut at the Masters since his debut in 1995, is looking to extend his streak and add to his record-tying 15 major championships.
The 47-year-old Woods is making his 26th appearance at Augusta National Golf Club and is one of the favorites to win the green jacket. He has won the Masters five times, most recently in 2019.
Woods' quest for a 24th consecutive made cut will not be easy. The Masters is one of the most challenging golf tournaments in the world, and the field is always stacked with top players.
But Woods is confident in his game and is looking forward to the challenge.
"I'm excited to be back at the Masters," Woods said. "It's one of my favorite tournaments, and I'm always looking forward to playing here."
